Hey, we are going to take you on a "Montreal one day tour". Follow us. And don't get lost!
Angrignon - Honore-Beaugrand (Green Line)
First let's visit the Angrignon Park. This is the famous place for BBQ during summer time. Here has big field, lake and a huge forest plus a lot of cute animals. When you come here, just enjoy the beauty of nature.
Next let's go to Pie-IX and Viau. You can see one of Montreal's famous buildings, "Olympic Park". It was build during 1976 for Olympic, which cost 7 billion US dollars. If you take the elevator to the highest floor, you can see the whole Montreal East. However, I would consider it as a dangerous building, because something might fall on your head any minute. If you really want to go in, I recommend you put your helmet on first.
About 10 minutes walk from Olympic Stadium, we come to the Biodome. They have four seasons simulated inside for the animals, according to their habitat. You can see penguins, starfishs, sea gulls and many other animals we dont usually see in our daily life.
Just across the street, here comes the famous Jardin Botanique. This is one of the biggest Gardens in the world. They have a rose garden, a Chinese garden, a Japanese garden, a green house, etc. You can also see many unusual plants here, but don't worry, the instructors here are very warm to answering your questions.
Cote-Vertu ~ Henri-Bourassa (Orange)
Let's go to Snowdon now. But we have to be very quiet here, because we are going to take you to the Oratoire St-Joseph, the second biggest church in the world. This church was named after Father Joseph. There are thousand of canes here because Father Joseph cured those who could not walk, so they left their canes here after since they didn't need it anymore. Also, the sunset here is so romantic, don't forget to take your other half here next time.
Snowdon ~ Saint-Michel (Blue)
Here comes the top ten French university, Universite-de-Montreal. It's a nice place for jog and walk.
Next stop is Jean-Talon. There is a big outdoor market. You can buy the freshest and not expensive fruits and vegetables here. You also can get some cheap stuff here, however they are not in very good quality!
Berri-UQAM ~ Longueuil (Yellow)
Take the metro through the under sea tunnel here we come the Ile-Ste-Helene. It's the island on the east-south side of Montreal, even though it's small, it's very famous. "Woo-haa-oh-ya" Hey, who is creaming? Oh... it's those people on the roller-coaster. Yes, here is the La Ronde, the only playground in Montreal. Come and visit again during the summer time, you will see the Benson International Firework, which is just wonderful!
There is a small island next to Ile-Ste-Helene called Ile-Notre-Dame. On this small island you can see terrible traffic. Why? Because our casino is here!! It's open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Come whenever you are free!
